German State concern for “A Koran in every home” campaign exposes misguided security concern

victims1

A Muslim preacher in Germany wants to give out 25 million Korans. No big deal, you say? Well - it is a B-I-G deal and the making of a "Koran in every home" campaign of a German Muslim preacher into a "national security threat" was actually quite predictable. The "act of aggression" (as the campaign has been called by members of the Angela Merkel's own party) stems from the growing anti-Muslim bias in Western security and intelligence services that label religious and political activities by Muslims as "radicalization" and elevates innocent and legally protected activities to the level of "national security threat." The problem here is the security and terrorism discourse that continues to define innocent activities by Muslims as "threats." Part of this discourse is to turn crimes committed by Muslims into "terrorism" and now "lone wolf jihad." The response, as discussed in spades here, is treat Muslim communities as "suspect communities" and undermine human rights of European Muslims.

The French State and its abusive reactions to Toulouse shootings.

fuk.france

Already - we are seeing the "arrests" of "members of an 'Islamist network'" on the part of the French State. We are also seeing the arrest of the gunman's mother. The reality is that these so-called "Islamist networks" could be nothing more that religious study groups that the gunman was associated with...If there was a threat of "terrorism" against the French State, why not act before the violence? Why? The threat from "Islamist networks" is probably non-existent and phony, just as the claims that the gunman was "an al-Qaeda operative." While Sarkozy takes political advantage of this horrible violence - I will likewise take advantage and a I have spent late last night starting a case study on how the French State is now collectively punishing the French Muslim community for the actions on a lone gunman!

Shootings in France to become “terrorism?!” Of course – only Muslims commit “terrorism!”

One of the abuses that Western governments currently engage in is with the label "terrorism." This latest shooting spree in France - labeled as "terrorism" indicates just how biased and discriminatory the use of this label is. Recent shootings involving non-Muslims are not "terrorism" - because the killers were not Muslims. Was Gianluca Casser a "terrorist" when he shot dead street vendors in Italy last December? Was Tristan van der Vlies a "terrorist" when he shot dead shoppers at Alphen aan den Rijn almost a year ago? Nope - because both were not Muslims. We must put up a wall of vigorous resistance against any and all attempts to turn this "act of terrorism" into justification to demonize and criminalize religious faith and political opinions, as well as push back on the current biased and discriminatory Western counter-terrorism regime.

Faulty and biased terrorism studies field behind NYPD’s radicalization model

nypd

The NYPD’s “radicalization model” and its spying program grew out of the Orthodox terrorism study field that has been viewed in the past of shoddy social science, using labels and anti-Muslim narratives. The Orthodox terrorism study field that gave us the NYPD model is state centric and cares little about human rights, like religious freedom and freedom of expression. This article uses Critical terrorism studies to explain where the NYPD gets its model and the notion of “radicalization.” It is actually “radicalization” and its definitions and uses that emboldened the NYPD to its massive spy program. The use of the NYPD “radicalization model” must be forbidden in liberal democratic societies and the human rights of the public protected from abuses that come from this “radicalization model.”

Rick Santorum, the American Taliban and Geert Wilders

santorum.binladen

Rick Santorum's myths about euthanasia in the Netherlands mirror myths about Muslims and Gays from this same ilk of "conservatives." Santorum has been to David Horowitz functions just as Geert Wilders has. Santorum speaks the same way about Muslims that his pro-Wilders friends, confusing all of Islam with "radical Islam." Santorum's opposition of Gay rights is also well known, and if Santorum ever got his way, Gays would be shoved back into the closet! Geert Wilders walks a fine line in the maintaining of support for anti-Muslim, anti-Gay, radicals of the American Taliban and support at home, but then the Dutch people have been left in the total darkness about Wilders' American Taliban friends by the Dutch media.
