Sens fan proposes to Leafs fan … how sweet!
As a hockey fan, I could not be prouder than the steps professional hockey is taking to combat homophobia and advance Gay rights. There is actually more of an effort on by NHL players, 30 players, including star players, to combat homophobia and speak out for Gay rights. Well - last week Alicia, a Sens fan, proposed to Christina, a Leafs fan on ice at the Sens home of Scotiabank Place. In a game with a lot of fights, love was in the air, and the video sweet video to see. Polish Immigrant Hotline: Why the Netherlands is not the same Netherlands we all loved..
To understand why the Dutch nation is what it is today one needs to look at those persons who were behind the destruction of Dutch culture and national identity. The main culprit was Pim Fortuyn, who tore down mainly Dutch tolerance, but also brought the notion of Nederland is vol (the Netherlands is full). While Fortuyn left a horrible legacy on Dutch society, the other problem is the Dutch political norm that one does not become critical of another political party initiatives and actions. The European Parliament is doing a much needed service of bringing the far right under a long overdue check. Nation building includes the continuous maintenance of a Europe orientation to Member State identities - and this aspect of membership of the European Union has long been neglected by the Union institutions. The Netherlands is no longer a European nation, but its national identity can be rebuilt and repaired. ---NL: Om te begrijpen waarom het Nederlandse volk is wat het vandaag is men nodig heeft om te kijken naar de personen die achter de vernietiging van de Nederlandse cultuur en nationale identiteit. De belangrijkste boosdoener was Pim Fortuyn, die sloopte voornamelijk Nederlandse tolerantie, maar bracht ook het idee van Nederland is vol (Nederland is vol). Nederland is niet langer een Europese natie, maar de nationale identiteit kan worden herbouwd en gerepareerd.

Rick Santorum's myths about euthanasia in the Netherlands mirror myths about Muslims and Gays from this same ilk of "conservatives." Santorum has been to David Horowitz functions just as Geert Wilders has. Santorum speaks the same way about Muslims that his pro-Wilders friends, confusing all of Islam with "radical Islam." Santorum's opposition of Gay rights is also well known, and if Santorum ever got his way, Gays would be shoved back into the closet! Geert Wilders walks a fine line in the maintaining of support for anti-Muslim, anti-Gay, radicals of the American Taliban and support at home, but then the Dutch people have been left in the total darkness about Wilders' American Taliban friends by the Dutch media. --- NL: Rick Santorum mythes over euthanasie in Nederland spiegel mythes over moslims en homo's uit dezelfde ilk van "conservatieven". Part One: Dutch misconceptions of “free expression”: The Theo van Gogh murder
Part One: The Dutch also have a horrible misconception of what “free speech and expression” really mean and paired with the lack of shame and stigma, the country has accepted the idea that hate politics are normal. Part of the Dutch misconception over “freedom of expression” stems from the wrong and silly notion that the murder of Theo van Gogh was an “attack on freedom of expression” by a private individual, Mohammed Bouyeri. However, “free speech protection” is actually in relation to individuals, groups and governments, not between private persons and groups. The brutal murder of “Theo” is viewed as some kind of “attack on freedom of expression” and there is almost a set of conspiracy theory-like notions among Dutch “counter-terrorism experts” that “Muslims” represent a threat to the democratic order of the country. Take this post as part of future projects to explore Dutch counter-terrorism and the possible repression of Muslims’ political rights and human rights by Dutch counter-terrorism apparatus because of “Theo’s murder!” --- Deel een: De Nederlanders hebben ook een verschrikkelijke misvatting van wat "vrije meningsuiting" eigenlijk en gekoppeld aan het gebrek aan schaamte en stigma, het land heeft ingestemd met het idee dat haat de politiek normaal zijn. Religious zealots disrupt Islamic forum in Amsterdam It’s the reaction of Wilders supporters that is also crazy
The outburst by about 30 Salafist zealots (from Belgium) in the course of an Amsterdam forum about Islam in the Netherlands should not say anything about Dutch Muslims. This outburst was condemned by Muslims in the Netherlands and Belgium. Those Islamic activists who fought back against the Salafist zealots are the real topic for celebration, including Tofik Dibi.
