Geert Wilders owns Anders Behring Breivik

We as humans understand the world though language. The signs and symbols of language help us to understand everyday situations, and is created by humans just for the purpose of understanding everyday life. Humans create symbols that represent threat and danger especially, since knowing what is threat and danger is very important for survival.  [See  Peter Berger and Thomas Luckmann's  ground breaking 1966 treatise in social constructivism.]

We can all, no matter what language, understand Anders Behring Breivik pointing the rifle in the picture on the left of this page.

Language and picture images are often used in warfare to demonize “the enemy” and build a sense of “threat and danger.”  When Geert Wilders talks of the “threat that Muslims pose to the Western world,” it is in the language of threat and danger – and of war. “Muslims are taking over the Netherlands.” “Muslims are trying to destroy our way of life.” This type of language is one that can prompt someone or someones, even mentally healthy people, to take action against “this threat to our way of life.”  The “Left” is also guilty of “aiding Muslims to destroy Western Christian civilization.”  If “millions of Muslims cause problems,” along with their Leftists allies, some people will want to do something about it.

In about Spring 2009, Wilders began his travels in earnest and began to “warn the Western world about the threat from Muslims.”  We can say that these travels on the part of Wilders were, in fact, trips to radicalize others in the in Western world to “take action against the Muslim threat.” What Breivik also advocated in his manifesto was the deportation of Muslims from Europe and the “executions of cultural Marxists.” Some of the hateful accusations directed at the Left in the Netherlands are “being an accomplice in the killing of Pim Fortuyn.”

Above is Wilders’ interview in Copenhagen (video 1) and in 2008 he gave an address to the Danish Parliament (video 2) – and the place in Denmark is NO accident on the part of Wilders. Notice Wilders who wants to “do something” and “send million of Muslims away.” Wilders compares “Muslim immigration” to a “tsunami” and keep in mind that “water,” flooding control of water, are very important threat images in Dutch culture. When Geert Wilders traveled to London in March 2010,  Breivik was excited to go to London and meet with English Defense League (EDL) leaders. Geert Wilders is that radicalized center-of-gravity around which these Islamophobic extremists revolve, as argued by me and as now reported in the Telegraph:

Breivik told his Facebook friends he would be coming to London for Wilders’s visit. “I remember he [Breivik] was on Facebook saying that he felt he had to come over. Maybe he thought it was the only chance he’d get to come to a big demo,” said the source.

Geert Wilders was a high-profile anti-Islamic politician, coming to Britain. Every­one was raving about it.

He [Breivik] was obviously in contact with some of us. If this bloke was coming all the way from Norway the leadership would have wanted to meet him.”

Now – it is not an understatement that Geert Wilders (along with other well known Islamophobes) share some measure of the same guilt for terrorism that they have heaped on all 1.5 billion Muslims.  But – unlike this collective guilt heaped on all Muslims everywhere by people like Robert Spencer, Pamela Geller and Geert Wilders, the 1500 page manifesto by accused mass killer Anders Behring Breivik names the above people as his inspiration [ A Spade Is a Spade: A Western Terrorist Is No Different Than a Muslim One, TIME - A manifesto for a Muslim-free Europe, an Infidel-free Middle East, Al Jazeera ] On  March 9 of this year, Breivik said in an email to his EDL friends that sounds very much like Geert Wilders:

“Hello. To you all good English men and women, just wanted to say that you’re a blessing to all in Europe, in these dark times all of Europe are looking to you in such of inspiration, courage and even hope that we might turn this evil trend with islamisation all across our continent. Well, just wanted to say keep up the good work it’s good to see others that care about their country and heritage.”

The reason why Breivik denies criminal responsibility for these horrible acts against his own countrymen is that he was “just defending his country.”  These statements of justification were read out in court, as Breivik admitted to the crime but justified it as the “price the Labor Party had to pay for treason.”  The message to “oppose colonization” of the country by “Muslims” is,  unmistakeably, the same message conveyed by Geert Wilders to his followers in his radicalization speeches.

This counterjihad terrorist’s manifesto is a portrayal of the serious threat from the radical right that many of us have complained about for some time.  Besides being a manual for terrorism and radical Islamophobia, it contains implied threats against European leaders, instructions for making bombs, and an open-ended call for terrorist actions to oppose “cultural Marxism” and leaders that are “compliant in Islamisation.” It is hoped that the often Islamophobic intelligence agencies can put down the chase of the ghosts of “jihadists and Islamists” – for just a little while – and devote just a small amount of their time to  this REAL security threat.

But – Muslims and Leftists are deserving  victims?

The reality is that Geert Wilders is not only the most radicalized extremist in the Western world – he was partly to blame for radicalizing Anders Behring Breivik. Wilders can cry that he is “disgusted” all he wants, but this act of distancing himself should now be routine. Wilders did this same behavior when he wanted to travel to the US to a dinner with radical homophobes. Wilders distanced himself when neo-Nazis looked up to him (and still do) as an “anti-Islamic leader.” Wilders tries to distance himself from the EDL, whose neo-Nazis conveniently fly the Israeli flag. This time, however, whether he likes it or not, Geert Wilders owns Anders Behring Breivik.

Breivik only untied Norway, now this horrible attack will only unite the rest of the civilized world against the likes of Geert Wilders!
