Told ya so! Dutch foreign policy going Islamophobic!
As I predicted in a past post on Chasing Dirt, Dutch foreign and security policy will go toward the crackpot Islamophobic notions of Fortuyn-Wilders. My predictions are now coming true, as creeping crackpot myths about Muslims and Islam are now, as in Dutch immigration policy, projecting themselves in foreign policy. We can see this by the spat the Netherlands has with Iran - and the reactions to the attacks on Coptic Christians in especially Egypt that are not rational and do not reflect the realities of the Egyptian democratic revolution.However - the loss of a the great activism of Dutch foreign policy in that area of human rights is a tragedy and indicates a further erosion of once great Dutch culture and national identity for hateful myths and crackpot Islamophobia of the Fortuyn-Wilders type.The Egyptian revolution point out the irrational and crackpot notions held by the misfits of Wilders' PVV party.However - the crackpot Dutch foreign policy about Muslim nations is proving to be egg on the faces of Wilders and Rosenthal! Hope it tastes ROTTEN too!

Murfreesboro to Munich: Western security and Cameron’s Islamophobia
While people in the Middle East fight and die for freedom and democracy - Islamophobia and the phantom of "European jihadists" continue to be pumped up by Islamophobes, David Cameron. While the myths of "Islam is a threat to democracy" are being seriously challenged by democratic revolutions in Arab-Muslim countries - cranks like David Cameron want to continue to drag up the phantoms of "European Islamist terrorists" to demonized multuculturalism. Claiming that phantom "European Islamist terrorists threaten our liberal democratic values" - we should see that it is actually David Cameron that is a threat to all of our liberal democratic values --- for this kind of speech is a call to yet again attack the freedoms and liberties of mainly Muslim citizens. Look for more burka bans and labeling of minority Muslim communities as "threats" and "radical."Now - young Arab Muslim democracies can challenge this European Islamophobia by establishing societies based in freedom, including religious freedom - and take the European Islamophobia problem to the international community institutions, like the United Nations. In the end, people like Cameron are the real threat to our liberal democratic values of freedom and tolerance! We must resist this tread to wrap up "Western security" in the discourse of Islamophobia and irrational phantoms of "European jihadists threatening our liberal values."
