Islamophobic extremism among”counter terrorism experts”

A recent post in the Columbus Dispatch note the rise in radical and extremist “counter terrorism experts” that promote views that are just as radical and extremism as those of “Islamists and jihadists.” This Author has noted in the past the rise of anti-Muslim and Islamophobia in Western counter terrorism intelligence, police and security “experts,” who appear to have a single-minded fixation and obsession with Islamist terrorism, without regard for other criminal and security threats, such as the radical and extremist right and the re-emerging anarchists in Europe.Watch any “counter terrorism expert” on Fox, CNN, even MSNBC – and you’ll see the single-minded fixation on “Islamists and jihadists” to the exclusion of all other security threats to the sane and rational world.

“Counter-terrorism experts” not only appear to be obsessed with “jihadists,” but some buy into ignorant and lunatic rubbish, like the “threat of sharia law against the US.” Some – like the “Islam is an ideology” and “there are no moderate Muslims” – are exports from the Netherlands. The notion that “they want to impose sharia law” is as much rubbish as Catholics want to impose cannon law and papal rule. This is the same crap once directed against Catholics and the like – and now it’s newest target is Muslims.

We need to identify radical-extremist police officers like this, who openly define themselves hostile to some member of the community based on their religious beliefs– and work to get them fired. This was part of what was done to remove police officers that were and are racists-bigots in the past.

As stated before, some real and dangerous security threats are being ignored for the Islamist obsession. Also neglected by intelligence, counter-terrorist and security studies’ “experts” is the growing threat that a politically-legitimized far-right poses to European and Western security. Some “terrorist experts” are Islamophobic extremists and radicalized individuals themselves, helping to foster the far-right, like Geert Wilders, who will be the next European dictator if he is ever minister-president of the Netherlands.

The claim of “radical Islam” is actually a drive to suppress and oppress Islam and Muslims, since Wilders and extremist “counter-terrorism experts” promote the notion that “Islam is an ideology” and that “there are no moderate Muslims.”We need to define and name the “counter-terrorism experts” -like Spencer and Pipes- as the extremist and radicals that they are … and they are willing to justify murder, as well as political subversion, oppression for their agenda.What they will also attempt to justify is the oppression of the rest of us who are viewed as “giving the terrorists aid and comfort.” Look for the definition of “giving the terrorists aid and comfort” to be expanded to such peaceful speech activities as fighting Islamophobia, fighting for religious freedom, fighting for human rights – and fighting for religious tolerance. This expansive definition of “giving the terrorists aid and comfort” will have nothing to do with 9-11 – an event we all find horrible – but to the grandkids of Joe McCarthy, the extremist -radical right will use the obsession with “Islamists” as another another reason to oppress, persecute and even criminalize the political Left of the Western world.**Remember this: Radicals and extremists like Wilders, Pipes, Spencer, et al – have a vastly higher body count in the past 100 years of European history than so-called “Islamists and jihadists.”
