Dutch news media stumping for Wilders

Yep – we saw this with the Irish NO vote back in June 2008. In the final days there were horror stories about “welfare recipients from Poland” in the Irish media. The Polish “EU citizens” would, as the story goes,  hop planes for Ireland, collect welfare checks and then hop planes back to Poland. There were also stories about how (false) the EU would force the Catholic Church to marry gays and accept abortion. The successful intent of all the EU related horror stories in the run-up to the Irish “No” vote was to push the vote in favor of the “No” side.

The term “stumping” in American politics means, basically, campaigning. This term comes from the old days when a candidate would stand on a tree stump to address a crowd. Example: When Bill Clinton went on the “campaign trail” with his wife, Hillary, and did speeches and appearance for her. This was “Bill stumping for Hillary.”Now – we see the same sort of happening in the Netherlands with the final days before the parliamentary elections, elements of Dutch media stumping for Wilders. A report on “non-Western immigration” that was out from the Nyfer (an ideologically based “think tank,” or stink tank, for the PVV and Wilders), will cost 600 million euro. The same tally for immigration will cost 7, 2 million euro per year, as reported by Volkskrant.

Those in the Dutch media, the DutchNews.nl, Volkskrant, Radio Netherlands, The Holland Bureau, that are stumping for Geert Wilders and a “surprise win” for the PVV are acting against the best interests of their own country – to say the least. They act against the 850,000 Dutch Muslims who are not now or ever a threat to Dutch society. Dutch Muslims are quite harmless.Perhaps the most egregious demonization of Dutch Muslims comes from the “opinion” page of the DutchNews.nl site, but from a blog by the name of The Holland Bureau. With the rather wrong and inflammatory title “Dutch Taliban” the article tells us about German-Dutch, non-immigrant Muslim converts that go radical and decide to head off to fight against NATO forces in Afghanistan. The article then tell us that Dutch citizens are not involved, even as the article gives us the idea that Dutch citizens ARE involved,  in fighting NATO forces, but “that’s only a matter of time.”

Westerners are ideal not just as reinforcements but as propaganda material for online video clips, proof that the holy war is supported by the very same nationalities as the enemy NATO forces themselves. As yet, no Dutch citizens have appeared, but it may only be a matter of time. 

What absolute insane rubbish!There is NO such thing as “Dutch Taliban!” Like the rest of this article, which is as confused as the author, appears to demonize Dutch Muslims, who have shunned radicals and work with their government to keep radicals out! No Holland Bureau, DutchNews.nl, Dutch Muslims, given the survey and other research data – are the least likely to be off in Afghanistan shooting at NATO forces. Dutch Muslims are just as Dutch as you are…even if you really don’t like it!Now – to say the most, as Job Cohen has said, Wilders wants “een andere Nederland” and that other Netherlands would look more like Milosevic’s “Greater Serbia” or the even the Nazi Germany. Wilders could (and most likely would) bring in Likud operatives from Israel, as what happened in Georgia. This Author is noting and copying those articles (both Dutch, as well as English) that appear to be stumping for Wilders and demonizing Dutch Muslims for future reference and research.It is outrageous to stump for a politician who would inflict serious damage and destruction on you own country. Media like The Holland Bureau and DutchNews.nl would have stumped for the National Socialists in 1932!

British media also cheers on Wilders. As some of you know, the elements of the British media have been cheering for Wilders for years. They are offended by “trespass on freedom of speech” and “attacks on the freedom of speech by Muslims” (actually it’s the freedom to say what you want without responsibility). But – it is unbelievable that the British media, like the Guardian, would cheer for the election of someone who could turn the Netherlands into another Milosevic’s Serbia or Nazi Germany. Cheering for the destruction of another country is irrreprehensible and outrageous.Should Geert Wilders somehow win, even as it is now unlikely, the culprits will be DutchNews.nl, Volkskrant, the Holland Bureau, the UK media, like the Guardian, who should be held accountable for the behavior of a Prime Minster Wilders, the PVV government in the destruction of the Netherlands as a decent nation.
