The European Union is not going to fail!
The EU is vastly about more than economic and "common markets." The EU is made up, especially after ToL, of several institutions that have little to do with economics. This includes the European Parliament, Court of Justice, Europol police agency, as well as Justice and Home Affairs in the European Commission that works largely in the area of supranational Citizenship of the European Union. Citizenship of the EU is a supranational citizenship that every national of a Member State has in addition to national citizenship.
